Setting Up an Affiliate Program
This guide covers how to enable and configure an affiliate program for your shop. It explains the default settings, where to change them, and how to control which products and events affiliates can promote.

Default program settings
When you open the affiliate section for the first time, Trankets creates a program with these defaults:

Create or edit your program
- Go to Dashboard → My Affiliate Program.
- If no program exists, click Create Program.
- Enter a program name and description. Affiliates see these when browsing or receiving your invite link.
- Go to Dashboard → My Affiliate Program → Settings.
- Update the fields using the options in the table below.
- Click Save.
Configurable options

Enable affiliates per product or event
- Go to Dashboard → My Affiliate Program → Catalog.
- Find the product or event in the list.
- Toggle Affiliate Enabled to on.
- Save.
Only items with this toggle enabled appear in affiliate dashboards and can generate referral links. There are no per-item commission overrides; all enabled items use the program-wide commission setting.
Invite and manage affiliates
- Copy your invite link from Dashboard → My Affiliate Program.
- Share the link directly or list your program on the affiliate discover page.
- Review applicants at Dashboard → My Affiliate Program → Partners if your approval mode is set to Manual or Invite-only.
- Approve or reject each application.
Approve and pay commissions
- Go to Dashboard → My Affiliate Program → Sales to see clicks and conversions.
- After the refund window passes, commissions become confirmed.
- Go to Dashboard → My Affiliate Program → Payouts.
- Review confirmed commissions.
- Click Approve. Trankets credits the affiliate's Trankets wallet with the commission amount and marks the conversion as Paid.
- The affiliate can then request a withdrawal from Dashboard → Wallet → Withdraw Funds. Once the withdrawal is approved, Trankets sends the money to the affiliate's linked Nigerian bank account.
You do not send money outside Trankets. The affiliate's withdrawal is handled through the Trankets wallet system.
Affiliate coupon codes
- Go to Dashboard → My Affiliate Program → Tools.
- Create a promo code and link it to an affiliate.
- When a buyer uses that code, the sale is attributed to the affiliate even if the buyer did not click a referral link first.
What happens next
- Approved affiliates see enabled items in their Dashboard → My Affiliate Earnings dashboard and generate referral links.
- When a buyer clicks a referral link and purchases within the tracking window, a conversion is recorded.
- The commission stays pending until the refund window passes, then becomes confirmed.
- You approve confirmed commissions. Trankets moves the money into the affiliate's Trankets wallet.
- The affiliate requests a wallet withdrawal to receive the money in their bank account.
Limits and requirements
- Cookie duration must be between 1 and 90 days.
- The payout threshold is a minimum; affiliates cannot receive a lower amount.
- Commission settings apply to the whole program, not individual items.
- Trankets tracks clicks, conversions, and commission status.
- All affiliate amounts are tracked and settled in NGN.
- Affiliates need a linked Nigerian bank account and a wallet balance of at least ₦15,000 to request a withdrawal.
Common issues
- Affiliates cannot promote an item if Affiliate Enabled is off in the catalog.
- If approval mode is Invite-only, public applicants cannot join without an invitation.
- Changes to commission or tracking window settings apply to future clicks, not retroactively.
- A commission may not appear for approval until the refund window has closed.
