How You Get Paid: Escrow, Holds & Release
Understand exactly when service money is held, when it releases to you, and how disputes are handled.
How You Get Paid: Escrow, Holds & Release
Payment protection is what makes buyers comfortable paying someone new — and it's simple once you see the flow. Here's exactly when the money moves.
What You Will Learn
- When a service payment is held vs released
- How and when your earnings become available to withdraw
- What happens in a dispute, and how to resolve it
- How no-shows and cancellations affect your payout
Bookings: confirmed instantly
When someone books a paid slot, the booking is confirmed right away and the buyer gets a calendar invite. Run the session, and your earnings settle to your wallet on the normal schedule.
Packages: held until the work is accepted
When someone buys a package, their payment is held safely — not yet yours. Here's the path:
- You deliver the work and mark it delivered, with a note and any link.
- The buyer reviews and confirms — that releases the payment to you.
- If they don't respond, the order auto-confirms after a few days and releases anyway.
So you're never stuck waiting forever, and the buyer never pays for something they didn't receive. That balance is the whole point.
What the buyer pays vs what you settle
International buyers may pay in their own currency, but your payout always settles in naira. Every order shows a "you settle" figure — that's what actually lands in your wallet, after the platform fee.
Disputes: how they're resolved
If a buyer thinks a package wasn't as described, they can open a dispute. When that happens:
- The order freezes — nothing releases while it's reviewed.
- You'll respond in your Refunds area, and you can talk it through with the buyer in the order chat.
- If it isn't resolved between you, Trankets steps in and makes the call.
Respond promptly. A clear reply and a paper trail in the chat are your best case.
No-shows and cancellations
- No-show — if a booking client doesn't turn up, you can record it. It's a note on the order; it doesn't change your payout.
- You cancel a session — the client is refunded in full.
- The client cancels — how much they get back follows the cancellation policy you set on the service.
