Wallet, Fees, and Withdrawals

This guide explains how your Trankets wallet works. It covers how money gets in, what fees apply, how to see those fees, and how to withdraw your earnings to a Nigerian bank account.

What the wallet is

Your Trankets wallet is the balance you build up from sales on the platform. When someone buys a ticket or a product, the money is credited to your wallet after the payment is confirmed.

All wallet balances and withdrawals are in NGN only. Buyers can pay in several currencies, but the amount that reaches your wallet is converted to Nigerian Naira.

How money enters your wallet

Money is added to your wallet immediately after a successful payment is verified:

SourceWhat happens
Event ticket saleBuyer pays; once the payment is confirmed, the ticket amount minus fees is credited to your wallet.
Product saleBuyer pays; once the payment is confirmed, the product amount minus fees is credited to your wallet.
Refund reversalIf a refund is issued to your account, the same currency wallet may be credited.
Affiliate commission reversalIf an affiliate sale is refunded, a previously paid commission may be returned to the platform.

You do not need to do anything to receive the money. The credit happens automatically.

Platform fees and charges

Trankets deducts a platform fee and a payment gateway fee from each sale. The platform fee depends on your subscription plan.

  • The flat fee applies per transaction where the buyer pays in NGN.
  • You can choose who pays the platform fee: the buyer (added to the listed price) or you (deducted from your earnings).
  • For non-NGN payments, a foreign-exchange markup of 2.5% applies.
