Wallet, Fees, and Withdrawals
How your Trankets wallet works - how money arrives, what is held and why, what fees apply, and how to withdraw to your bank.
Wallet, Fees, and Withdrawals
Every sale you make lands here. This guide explains how money arrives in your wallet, why part of it is briefly held, what fees apply, and how to move your earnings to your bank.
What You Will Learn
- Read your wallet: balance, available, and holds
- Understand the two kinds of hold and when each releases
- Know your fees and who pays them
- Withdraw to your bank account
Where It Lives
Wallet, under the Finance section of your dashboard. The page holds your balance cards, your transaction history, your payout account, and the withdraw action. Your plan's rates live under Billing.
How Money Arrives
When someone buys a ticket, a product, or a service from you, the sale amount (minus fees, if you absorb them) is credited to your wallet automatically once payment is confirmed. Buyers can pay in several currencies; your wallet balance is kept in NGN.
Reading Your Balance
The wallet shows two headline numbers:
- Wallet Balance (NGN) - everything credited to you.
- Available to withdraw - what you can move to your bank right now.
The difference is money in one of two holds, each listed with its own release date:
| Hold | What it is | When it frees up |
|---|---|---|
| Clearing | Money the payment gateway has not yet settled to the platform | Typically the next working day for local payments; a few days for foreign-currency payments. The date is shown per entry. |
| Held as buyer protection | Earnings from product and service sales still inside their refund window | When each sale's own refund window ends - the window you chose in Selling Rules |
Ticket sales carry no buyer-protection hold - only the short clearing hold.
Fees
Your platform fee is a percentage commission plus a small flat fee on NGN transactions, and it shrinks as you upgrade - each paid plan takes a smaller cut of every ticket, product, and service sale, all the way to zero on Enterprise. Current rates for every plan are always live on the pricing page and in Billing → Feature Comparison.
Two things stay in your control:
- Who pays it - add the fee on top at checkout, or absorb it for cleaner pricing. Your choice, in Selling Rules.
- Free things are free - free events and free products carry no platform fee on any plan.
For non-NGN payments, a small foreign-exchange margin applies on conversion.
Withdrawing
- Link your bank account under Payout Account on the wallet page.
- Click Withdraw Funds, enter an amount up to your available balance, and submit.
- Withdrawals are reviewed manually. Approved requests are paid to your linked account; rejected ones return the money to your wallet with a reason.
Rules worth knowing:
- The minimum withdrawal is ₦3,000.
- One pending withdrawal at a time.
- Your bank details are locked while a withdrawal is pending.
A pending withdrawal shows as a banner at the top of your wallet until it resolves.
Common Issues
- Available is lower than balance. Expand the holds - each entry shows what it is waiting on and the date it frees up.
- Withdraw declined for amount. You are under the minimum or over your available balance - the error tells you which.
- Cannot update bank account. A withdrawal is pending; wait for it to resolve.
- Refunded sale. The refund is debited from your wallet - the buyer-protection hold exists so this never puts you below zero.
