This guide explains how buyers receive files after purchase. It covers secure download links, expiry, download limits, and how to regenerate a link.

What happens after purchase

After a successful purchase:

1. The buyer sees an order confirmation.
2. A secure download link is generated.
3. The buyer receives an email with the download link.
4. The buyer can access files on the download page.

For free products, the same flow happens after the buyer clicks Get It. No payment is collected.

Download links

Each purchase creates one secure download link.

The download limit is copied to the purchase record when the product is bought. Changing the product's download limit later does not affect existing purchases.

Download limits

When the limit is reached, the buyer sees a message asking them to contact you.

Regenerate a download link

1. Go to Dashboard → Purchases.
2. Find the buyer's purchase.
3. Click Regenerate Link.

What happens next: The old link stops working. A new secure download link is created with a fresh 72-hour expiry and the original download limit. The buyer can use the new link.

Resend the download email

1. Go to Dashboard → Purchases.
2. Find the purchase.
3. Click Resend Download Email.

What happens next: The email is sent again with the current active download link.

The download page

The public download page shows:

• Product name and cover image
• List of files
• Individual download buttons
• Time remaining before expiry
• Remaining downloads count

If the link is expired or used up, the page shows a clear error.
