Event Settings Explained

This guide describes every setting available when creating or editing an event. Use it to understand what each option controls.

Basic Information

FAQs

Add up to 20 question-and-answer pairs. These appear as an accordion on the public event page.

Cancellation

There is no cancellation toggle in settings. To cancel an event:

  1. Open the event.
  2. Click the three-dot menu.
  3. Select Cancel Event.
  4. Enter a cancellation reason.
  5. Confirm.

Cancellation Requirements and Effects

  • Only the host can cancel.
  • The event must not already be cancelled.
  • You cannot cancel within 48 hours of the event start time.
  • The event page shows a cancellation notice.
  • Paid attendees are refunded to their Trankets balance in the same currency.
  • Guest attendees (those without a Trankets account) receive an email with refund instructions.
  • The host's Trankets balance is debited. Cancellation fails if the host does not have enough balance.
  • Affiliates are notified that the commission is reversed.
  • This cannot be undone.

Common Issues

  • Event not discoverable. Check that Listed is enabled.
  • Cannot register. Check that Public Registration Enabled is on and that the event is not cancelled.
  • Custom color not applying. Custom theme colors require an active subscription feature.
  • Cannot cancel. You cannot cancel within 48 hours of the event start time, and only the host can cancel.
